The head of Myanmar’s junta has stated that at least 144 people have died in the country’s earthquake.

But given the extensive damage around the nation, Min Aung Hlaing cautioned that the death toll was probably going to increase.

(10) To evaluate the effects of the earthquake, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra called an emergency meeting of the Thai cabinet. Although there were no recorded casualties among Indian citizens, the Indian embassy in Thailand cautioned people to exercise caution.

The United States and the European Union also promised assistance. Donald Trump, the president of the United States, acknowledged that Washington has communicated with the government of Myanmar. He told reporters, “It’s a real bad one, and we will be helping.”
