H-1B scam is being investigated.

To combat fraud and streamline the procedure, the US government made modifications to the H-1B visa lottery system in January 2024. Regardless of the number of employers who submitted their names, each person is counted once under the new beneficiary-based selection process.

“We’re committed to reducing fraud and enhancing fairness in the H-1B process,” stated Ur M. Jaddou, director of USCIS. “We want to increase equity in H-1B selections and eventually move to an entirely electronic application process.”
