In August 2021, Torane allegedly consented to an online service agreement, of which Krafton and four of its executives broke the secrecy restrictions, according to the formal complaint filed by Akluj Police in the Solapur district of Maharashtra in September of last year.

Court Hearing on Complainant’s Motion on April 15 :
After complaints filed in November 2023 went unanswered by the Akluj police and the Superintendent of Police, Solapur, the complainant approached the Judicial Magistrate First Class at Malshiras. In August 2024, the court also ordered the Akluj police to look into the complaint in accordance with Criminal Penal Code (CrPC) Section 156(3).

According to the report, Krafton responded by requesting relief from the Bombay High Court. A bench consisting of Justices Sarang V. Kotwal and Dr. Neela Gokhale combined the petitions and scheduled the hearing for April 15, 2025. It further said that all ad-interim orders were extended till then.

“The protection of personal data is of utmost importance to us at KRAFTON, and we are committed to upholding the highest standards of data security,” Krafton said in an official statement to the outlet. The company was accused of breaking a legally binding service agreement that was signed on August 2, 2021. Additionally, he asserted that Kraftion violated user privacy by selling subscriber data to third-party networks like Telegram for about Rs 2,000 per individual.
