Under new skipper Rajat Patidar, Royal Challengers Bengaluru‘s start to the 2019 IPL season couldn’t have been better. After defeating the Kolkata Knight Riders in their own stadium in the 2025 season opening last month, they defeated the Chennai Super Kings at the Chepauk to record their first victory in 17 years. Following two weeks of travel, RCB returns home to play the Gujarat Titans in their first IPL 2025 match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. (RCB vs GT)

In contrast, the team captained by Shubman Gill played both of their first games in Ahmedabad. They defeated the Mumbai Indians last Saturday despite losing their campaign opener to the Punjab Kings. Mohammed Siraj, who played 87 IPL games for RCB before being released prior to the auction last November, will be emotional during GT’s first away game of the season in Bengaluru.

Only five IPL meetings have taken place between the two teams, with RCB leading 3-2 following back-to-back victories the previous season.
